Full-size paper should be loaded into the paper tray of the Envy 4523 printer

Step 1 : Loading photo paper into the main input tray of the printer 4523

  • Remove any plain paper that is present in the main paper tray
  • The short edge of the photo paper should be loaded in the tray; this depends on the type of printer that is used. If the paper loaded has a perforated tab for handling the photograph after it prints, then, load the paper such that tab faces up or towards you to prevent printing on the same.
  • Inkjet printers that have a rear load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing up
  • Inkjet printers that have a front load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing down
  • LaserJet printers that have a front load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing up
  • The paper width guides should be adjusted such that they rest against the paper edges

Step 2 : Printing the photo in Envy 4523 Printer

The print window should be opened to choose the available setting for printing your photos

  • Before commencing printing, you may edit the photo to improve brightness, colors, contrast or any other settings
  • Open the photo to be printed; click on File, then click on Print. For the Photos app, click on the Print button at the bottom of the window.
  • If your are unable to see the following options in the window, then click on Show Details
  • Choose your HP Envy 4523 from the Printer menu
  • Under the Preset menu, choose an option that you want to apply to your print job
  • Choose the photo’s Orientation
  • Under the Paper Size menu, choose the paper that you are printing on.
  • Click on the menu displayed at the center of the window and then you may change any settings as per your requirement.
  • Click on Print

The print window and document properties should be opened to set up the print job

  • Before commencing printing, you may edit the photo to improve brightness, colors, contrast or any other settings
  • Right-click on the photo that you would like to print, choose Open with, then choose Windows Photo Viewer or Paint
  • Click on Print. Or Click on File or the menu icon (Paint), then click on Paint. The Print or Print Pictures window will open and you can view the general print job settings
  • The printer’s Document Properties window should be opened to gain access to more quality, colors, layout and advanced print settings.
  • Under Print Pictures window in Windows Photo Viewer, click on Options… in the lower part of the right corner of the screen, then click on Printer Properties… in the Print Settings window
  • In the Print window under Paint, click on Preferences
  • This guide can be used to find and use print job settings for photos under the Document Properties window.
  • You may change the quality and colors settings for producing the best photo printing results.
  • Click on OK and then click on Print
  • After you have finished printing, please remove any photo paper from the tray and keep it in the package it came in. You may also keep it in a plastic bag. If the paper is left for a long time in the tray itself, the paper may start to curl.

Note:

To print address and return labels instead of printing directly on envelopes, you can use mailing tools or pre-formatted templates in word processing software. Alternatively, you can also use labels provide by any label vendor.

You can print without a PC with HP Envy 5535. Proceed as per the below instructions to find out how.

  • The memory card should be inserted into the memory card slot
  • Under the Home screen, tap on Photo to see the Photo menu
  • Under the Photo menu, tap on View & Print to display photos
  • Tap on a photo that you would like to print.
  • Tap on the up or down arrow to choose the number of photos that you would like to print.
  • Tap on Edit to choose options to edit the photos that have been selected. You will be able to crop, rotate a photo or turn Photo Fix off or on
  • Tap on Done and check the photo by doing a preview. If you would like to adjust paper type, layout, date stamp or red-eye removal, then tap on Settings and then tap your selection. You will also be able to save any new settings as default settings.
  • Touch on Print to begin printing.
