Scan settings For Windows

  • Go to 123 HP Envy 5660 folder among your list of installed programs in your system
  • Click on your Envy 5660 printer. The printer software opens
  • Click on the option Scan a Document or Photo
  • Choose your preferences, for eg. Color Mode, Destination, Page Size etc.
  • After you are finished, click on Save settings to save your preferences

NOTE :If you make a scan, copy or fax and find that the printed output has color bands or vertical lines

Scan settings For OS X

  • Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar
  • Go to System Preferences
  • Click either Printers and Scanners, Print and Fax or Print and Scan
  • Click on 123 HP Envy Setup 5660 Printer and choose Open Print Queue
  • Click on either Printer Setup or Settings, click on Open Printer Utility
  • Click on Scan to Computer.
  • Click on Edit Scan Tasks
  • Click Show Details. You will see a list of scan settings displayed like Presets, Scan to, Type etc.
  • Click on Presets and choose Save As
  • Input a name for your new preset, click on OK. Your new preset is now saved and be chosen for later use within HP 5660 Scan.
  • Close the Preferences window.

HP 5660 ePrint – Setup and Use

HP ePrint is a secure cloud-based service that enables you to print from anywhere if you have an active Internet connection. The photo or document to be printed should be emailed to your 123 HP Envy 5660.

Step 1 : Checking setup requirements for HP ePrint

(Please note that HP ePrint does not work if you connect your printer with a USB cable)

  • Ensure that your printer supports HP ePrint.
    Look for the Hp ePrint logo, icon or button on your Envy printer panel, If the printer control panel does not have a button or an icon, go to the Web Services Setup, Wireless Settings or Network Setup to find the Web Services menu.
  • Ensure that the computer is connected to either a wireless or wired (Ethernet) with a working Internet connection
  • Ensure that your Envy 5660 is connected to the Internet.

Step 2 : Web Services should be turned on

Web Services should be turned on from the printer control panel or the Embedded Web Server (EWS). This enables your printer to securely communicate through the Internet with web-connected printing services, like HP ePrint.

Step 3 : Obtaining the printer’s email address

Once you have turned on Web Services, please wait for the printer to print the information page. This page contains information regarding Web Services. Get your printer’s email address from the information sheet and then proceed to the next step.

Step 4 : Print with HP ePrint

HP ePrint prints by sending photos and documents securely to the printer through email. Print jobs can be sent from your laptop, computer, smartphone or tablet as long as you have a working Internet connection and a valid email account. Kindly go through the some of the requirements for HP Print before printing,

  • A subject should be entered in the subject line of the email. Otherwise HP ePrint may cancel the print job
  • Not more than 10 attachments per print job
  • The size of the mail should be less than 10 MB including attachments
  • Duplex printing is not supported by HP ePrint

Print Photos (for OS X)

Step 1 : Loading photo paper into the main input tray of the printer

  • Remove any plain paper that is present in the main paper tray
  • The short edge of the photo paper should be loaded in the tray; this depends on the type of printer that is used. If the paper loaded has a perforated tab for handling the photograph after it prints, then, load the paper such that tab faces up or towards you to prevent printing on the same.
  • Inkjet printers that have a rear load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing up
  • Inkjet printers that have a front load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing down
  • Laser Jet printers that have a front load tray – Glossy or print side should be facing up
  • The paper width guides should be adjusted such that they rest against the paper edges

Step 2 : Printing the photo

The print window should be opened to choose the available setting for printing your photos,

  • Before commencing printing, you may edit the photo to improve brightness, colors, contrast or any other settings
  • Open the photo to be printed; click on File, then click on Print. For the Photos app, click on the Print button at the bottom of the window.
  • If you are unable to see the following options in the window, then click on Show Details
  • Choose your printer from the Printer menu
  • Under the Preset menu, choose an option that you want to apply to your print job
  • Choose the photo’s Orientation
  • Under the Paper Size menu, choose the paper that you are printing on.
  • Click on the menu displayed at the center of the window and then you may change any settings as per your requirement.
  • Click on Print

The print window and document properties should be opened to set up the print job,

  • Before commencing printing, you may edit the photo to improve brightness, colors, contrast or any other settings
  • Right-click on the photo that you would like to print, choose Open with, then choose Windows Photo Viewer or Paint
  • Click on Print. Or Click on File or the menu icon (Paint), then click on Paint. The Print or Print Pictures window will open and you can view the general print job settings
  • The 123 HP setup Envy 5660 printer’s Document Properties window should be opened to gain access to more quality, color, layout and advanced print settings.
  • Under Print Pictures window in Windows Photo Viewer, click on Options… in the lower part of the right corner of the screen, then click on Printer Properties… in the Print Settings window
  • In the Print window under Paint, click on Preferences
  • This guide can be used to find and use print job settings for photos under the Document Properties window.
  • You may change the quality and color settings for producing the best photo printing results.
  • Click on OK and then click on Print
  • After you have finished printing, please remove any photo paper from the tray and keep it in the package it came in. You may also keep it in a plastic bag. If the paper is left for a long time in the tray itself, the paper may start to curl.
